Yesterday the little monkey turned 10 months old.
In two short months, we'll be celebrating a whole year of this little guy's life. It's hard to wrap my mind around. I'm not yet sure what this celebration will entail, but two things are certain. There will be celebrating. And there will be cake.
With each passing month, Will continues to grow and change in ways that blow my mind.
Pulling to a stand was definitely the skill of the month. He has it mastered. When Will wakes up, he starts talking through the monitor to let me know he's ready. Then he waits for me to come.
And if it's possible to have a theme of the month, this was definitely it. Just. Go. To. Bed.
Diaper changes have become a thing of stress and despair. Little Monkey refuses to be still. Even when I attempt to bribe him with various bottles of lotion and snot suckers.
On the subject of refusing to be still, Will's favorite new activity is climbing the stairs. He's too confident for his own good and regularly lets go. This is an extremely supervised event.
With all this moving and going, some baby proofing has taken place in the last month.
Baby gates to contain a very mobile baby.
Plastic guards to shield the AV equipment from a very nosy, button-happy baby. Which took Will all of 2 seconds to figure out how to pull off.
A plastic crib rail cover for a teething baby. Purchased after Mommy noticed scraped wood and paint caused by all those new toofers.
So much growing and changing, but one thing stays the same. Will is Mommy's baby. He always will be.
Even when he tries to push me away. No more kisses, Mommy.
