The Christmas Post

Every Christmas Eve, there's Chinese food. Cue all 'Fa ra ra ra ra' jokes. It was a tradition started by my grandfather, and it dates as far back as I can remember. Fried rice and sweet and sour chicken are as much a part of my Christmas as the grinch, Frosty, and The Christmas Song.

I want it to be the same for Will.

Looking at lights isn't necessarily a tradition, but this house is only a few streets away from my Mom's, so after dinner we had to stop. Will was in awe.

Nothing says 'MERRY CHRISTMAS!' quite like this sign. Um....?

Another tradition: Little Monkey will always spend Christmas Eve night in his bed. Well, maybe not always. If Mike wanted to surprise us with a trip to Bora Bora one year, I certainly wouldn't be opposed.
But for now, Daddy will read Will this special Christmas book and he will be tucked into his own bed.

When Mike was a little kid, he had recurring nightmares of a tiger who would circle his house at night. Sometimes even coming inside his room to verbally berate him.

Unfortunately for him, Santa knew nothing of this twisted tale until yesterday afternoon. And on Christmas Eve night, Mike's worst nightmare came true.

Hello, Mike. You're a bastard.

He swears this tiger watches him as he walks around the room. A wife with a twisted sense of humor might have some fun with this. But certainly not me.

Will was very interested in what was under the tree, but couldn't be bothered to unwrap anything on his own.
Thanks, Aunt Becky, for an awesome book that Will adores...

....and a too-cute Celtics shirt that Mommy and Daddy adore!

Thanks, Auntie Kelly, for an ADORABLE chair. Turns out, it actually IS a rocking chair. Mike found the rocking blades still tucked in the box. Oops.
Photobucket Thanks, Grandma, for boatloads of goodies: sweaters, shoes, pants, and an HD television for Will's playroom!!

And thanks for reading me this story, like, a billion times yesterday.

To the family members who gave Will $$, his college fund thanks you (as do his parents).

Last but certainly not least, Will thanks Jennifer and Ryan for making him a big cousin. We can't wait!

Brendan got the same music station. I'm anxious to know how Will likes it. :)

I'm a complete ditz and only just noticed the fridge farm on the huge magnetic board in your picture. Brendan got the same one!! That Santa is so smart. Now when Kat gets back from her looong trip, maybe we'll see if Jackson got some of the same stuff, too.
