Will had a stye on his eye (actually, he had several), and after hot compresses and ointments failed to work, the doctor had no choice but to operate. It was stressful and worrisome, of course, but mostly I just wanted relief for his sake.
After what felt like weeks of waiting, we went to the hospital yesterday morning. We had to leave at 5:30 to be in Richmond for 6:30. It was a long morning, but luckily Will is a pretty easy-going fella.
Dressed in his hospital jammies...
He was so stinking excited to see a 'ba-ball' (ball) on his jammies.
There was lots of waiting and conferencing with different doctors and nurses. Poor Will wasn't allowed to eat or drink all morning and we were so ready to get it over with.
Will wore a bracelet that said 'right eye.' You know. Just incase.
Will was eyeing the red wagon all morning. The nurse kept telling him, "Don't worry. You'll get your turn." They gave him a little bit of 'juice' to ease his anxiety about leaving us. It made him so relaxed and giggly, and he was very excited about his wagon ride.
They called us back to recovery about 25 minutes later and Will was already awake. Upon our return home, he was running wild, completely back to his playful, happy self.
And as for a trip to Disney World - 'round here we keep our promises...
We leave in 6 days!
