A really long post...

Consider yourself warned.

It's been two weeks of big changes for the Harmsen family.  For starters, we moved out of our house.

Since our tenant is moving in on July 1st, and the home we're moving in to isn't ready until the 7th, we had to put our stuff in storage and temporarily move to Grandma's.  PODS was an affordable option, but it required us to move ourselves.  While carrying couches (among many, many other things) down steep flights of stairs makes me feel strong and capable, it also kinda sucks.

As if all that wasn't wild enough, my mom, Will, and I flew to New England to attend my little cousin's wedding.  It was a short trip, complete with a visit to one of my favorite places in the world: Kimball Farm.

Showing everyone how strong he is after a yummy (and messy) dinner of macaroni and cheese...

Then it was off to Newport, RI for some wedding excitement!

The ceremony was on the beach.  We had a few minutes before hand to test things out, and it became very obvious, very quickly, that Will was not going to make it to the beginning, let alone through the ceremony.

Lots of family to love on Will...

So after giving it one final try with the lollipop, he still wouldn't sit, and Will and I had to walk around so as not to ruin the ceremony.

The only picture I was able to get before the need to take Will further away arrived...

But playing on the slide is much cooler than watching people get married.

Party time!

There was a carousel right next to the reception room!  Sorry your head is cut off, Aunt Becky.

Will was a party animal: wild and totally crazy.  His favorite dance move included this sweet crotch grab.

In fact, he didn't fall asleep until 3:35 AM.  He and I were barely on speaking terms at that point.  But, you know how it is. After a few hours of shuteye, all is forgiven.  How can I stay mad at this face?

The past two weeks have been a whirlwind, but Little Monkey is a trooper through it all.  It's been fun, but we're definitely looking forward to moving in to our new home and having things return to (somewhat) normal.

More Florida

After a couple days in Disney World, we stayed at the beach for a few nights.

We were so lucky to have a fabulous hotel that overlooked the ocean.  Combined with gorgeous weather (and a baby that actually slept at night, albeit in bed with us), it was an amazing time.

We were anxious to see Will's reaction to the unpredictable ebb and flow of the ocean.  Our first day there, he ran at lightning speed to the water.  And was promptly knocked over.  After that he was far more cautious and preferred holding our hands.

By our third, and final, day at the beach, Will was definitely holding my hand.  Mostly while he attempted to drag me over to the hotel pool.  He was done with the ocean and, most definitely, done with the beach.  I'll spare you the cry baby pictures with Mike's disappointed face in the background.

During our trip, we were able to spend some time at Mike's parents' house.

To say Will was pleased about this would be a complete understatement as he was spoiled with tons of toys and lots of attention.

Will even managed to get a couple swims in while we were there.

We were sad to leave Florida, and our amazing vacation behind.  We hope we can visit again very soon!
