The other night we went to the fair in Fredericksburg.
It was a spontaneous event that ended up being totally worth it. The decision to go was made at approximately 6:00 and, having never been there before, we had no idea what to expect.
But it was a real fair. Farm animals, junky food, cheesy games, and lots of rides. Will was enthused by everything he saw, often insisting he wanted to go on the biggest, scariest ride.
All excited to ride the carousel!!
I was trying so hard to get a panning shot of the carousel in motion...
(which was only somewhat successful)
that I didn't even notice this -
Will apparently freaked when the horse started to go up and down and Mike had to move him to the bench.
He's growing older, more aware, and developing fears where previously there were none.
Like, for example, this baby cow? Scared the crap out of him.
Will was very excited when he saw some trucks and, since he met the height requirement, we let him go on. And this time, I went with him.
Frantically signing that he's 'all done.'
One can't go to the fair without handing over 10 bucks to play a silly game. Don't worry. It's not like Will needs to go to college.
And the prize made it all worth it. A shark (dolphin?) that burps bubbles!!
Since we still had some tickets left over, we decided to try one more ride.
Despite the fact that I faced him in the wrong direction, it was a hit!
The fair is fun!
Entering this photo as my favorite of the week...
Somebody had some fun with the thought bubble graphic today.
