Will woke up this morning at his usual 8 AM. When I went up to get him he said, "More presents. More toys." Oh, buddy, don't I wish. Sadly, Christmas only comes once a year. But lucky for us, we know how to do Christmas right.
Our weekend began with a little cookie baking/decorating for Santa. Will doesn't really focus on activities beyond two-three minutes, so I was truly shocked that he had so much fun with this.
Double fistin' it!
Looks delicious, no?
Per the usual, we went to Grandma's on Christmas Eve night. Our tradition is going out for Chinese, but Mike and I were totally unwilling to do the restaurant thang on such a busy night. In fact, we pretty much refuse to take Will to any restaurant, any night. So we got take out instead.
Opening his Christmas Eve gift from Grandma...
Caillou! Seriously, you don't want to know how many times we've watched Caillou's holiday movie this month.
Once we returned home, we sprinkled our reindeer food on the lawn...
Reindeer food made in art class last week.
We put cookies and milk out for Santa...
I think he's swearing not to eat them.
And we read our Christmas story.
Christmas morning with Will was so insanely good this year. He started tearing into presents as soon as he woke up (including those that didn't belong to him).
Truthfully, I think this $1 Pez dispenser was his favorite gift.
Relaxing in the recliner Grandma gave him.
Will took a break before Grandma arrived with more presents to open. Guess what he was watching (hint: he's sitting in the chair with him).
Even the smallest member of our family got a little something. Can't wait for her to wear it.
Totally regretting those Caillou books as I've read them about 20 times each since yesterday morning.
"Read it, Grandma."
Will gets excited about every pair of rubber boots he sees. I was so glad to finally get him a pair.
We had such a great holiday. I can't believe it was Will's third!
