The big boy debuts his big boy room

When we found out we were pregnant, there was a lot of discussion about how to handle the bed situation.  Obviously the baby would need the crib and Will would need a new bed.  Since I've been begging Mike for years (YEARS!) for a king sized bed, I seized the opportunity to finally make this dream a reality.

After some months of back and forth, the decision was made.  I now have the king sized bed of my dreams (I'm pretty sure Mike likes it, too) and Will is the proud owner of a 'big boy bed.'

Will's headboard is plywood we spray painted and cut into smaller squares (hung with Command Strips).  Total cost about 40 bucks.

Seriously, Will is in love with baby toys.  He loves the activity mat, the bouncy seat...  It's ridiculous.  When I ask if he plans on sharing with Baby Sister he says, "MINE!"

We're doubtful this is Will's forever bed.  Someday we hope to have a guest room again, and the queen bed will likely go in there.  This just made the most sense for the time being.  And Will sleeps amazingly well in it.  In the 3.5 weeks since we did the switch, he has only had one middle of the night waking.

In other news, after the complaining I did in a recent post, we had a 68 degree day.  In January.  Amazing!

Will took the swimming pool out the other day, and since I forgot to put it away, it held a bit of water from this morning's rain.  Because it was so warm, I told Will he could do some splashing if he wanted.

Then Will ate some Oreos and looked all messy cute.

The End.

Love the headboard! What a neat idea!
Love seeing updates about your little cutie pie - to see that others go through the same issues we do.
