The Fourth

Celebrating a day of fireworks, good food, and relaxation. fourth And lots of looking cute, too. IMG_2335
Smiles for Big Brother.

With a wake-up time of 5:30 AM courtesy of my favorite girl, I had plenty of time to make those patriotic strawberries that were all over Pinterest. fourth2 IMG_2325 IMG_2327

We did some swimming in our redneck pool. IMG_2340 IMG_2344

Oh, and we definitely spent time inside because it was h-o-t. IMG_2348

For some reason, we thought it was a good idea to eat dinner outside. We all regretted the decision about 5 minutes into the meal. IMG_2353
Amelia frowns because the adults around her have poor decision making skills.

And what's the Fourth without some daytime fireworks?? Because when you're dealing with toddlers who don't nap, nothing is fun after dark. Seriously, nothing. IMG_2382 IMG_2406 IMG_2411 IMG_2413
Will was waiting all day for his 'sprinklers.'  P.S. Thanks for the picture, Nadine!

In a couple of days, we are packing up the car and heading for the beach.  When Will was 3 months old, we did a road trip to New England, and he was the perfect little traveler.  But this girl--
Oh my. Should be interesting.

Amelia: I'm gonna scream my head off for 4.5 hours straight.  It'll be great. IMG_2457

I love the slide in the pool. Very creative. Are you guys melting down there? This is definetly a time of year when I am glad to be in NE. Cold fronts from Canada rule (for now). Good luck with the trip to NC!
